Summer Flag Now Waves From the Flagpole

Members of the Newtown Lions Club joined volunteer firefighters from Newtown Hook & Ladder and Borough of Newtown representatives to raise the Summer Flag on the town’s flagpole on Saturday morning, May 10. The large 20 X 30 foot flag is donated by the Newtown Lions Club. It flies on the flagpole between May and early November, when a smaller 12 X 18 flag is raised. Newtown Hardware donates two winter flags to the Borough every year.
